A static-site and edge platform with an unusually generous free tier — a different category of product, not a cheaper host.
Cloudflare Pages is not really a competitor to traditional hosting so much as an alternative approach to it. You push to Git, Cloudflare builds your site and serves it from its edge network, and for a static site the free tier is genuinely hard to argue with.
Where the comparison becomes relevant is when the site needs a server. There is no PHP runtime, no MySQL, no cPanel and no mailbox. Dynamic behaviour comes from Workers and Functions written in JavaScript, backed by Cloudflare's own storage products. That is a capable architecture, but it is a rewrite rather than a migration if what you have today is WordPress.
So the decision is rarely about price. It is about whether your site is a static front-end that a build step can produce, or an application that expects a filesystem, a database and a mail server. HostPowr is the answer to the second; Cloudflare Pages is a strong answer to the first.

On price alone Cloudflare Pages wins outright for a static site, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. The question is whether a static site is what you have.
